We are leaving an era of ultra-low inflation that allowed for the stock market to price in ultra-high P/E ratios. The tariffs just tore that up. The tariffs are going to push prices higher and it is beyond silly that anyone would state otherwise in order to push through an agenda. In fact, this may have been a Golden Era for the United States; it is now gone. Factor in the poor performance yesterday by US hedge funds at the 20 auction, the reason there was a bond market selloff, this pushes costs higher over top of the tariff increase.
